Why not explore a selection of research from Örebro University — and enjoy it with a glass of beer or wine at the pub? Everybody is welcome to Pint of Science, a relaxed science festival held over three days in Örebro - and university cities across the world.
This year, Örebro’s researchers are serving up a mix of fascinating topics: edible insects, targeted cells, ways to harness AI, tech-savvy girls, irresistible magnets, and underground machines.
Monday 19 May: Explore edible insects with Ola Albrektsson and uncover how multicellular life changed the world with Hanna Isaksson.
Tuesday 20 May: Finn Rietz shows how smarter design can stop AI from making catastrophic mistakes, while Ulrika Sultan reveals how breaking stereotypes can bring more girls into STEM.
Wednesday 21May: Danny Thonig reveals how magnetism powers tomorrow’s technology, while Unal Artan shows how heavy equipment can “feel” its way to safer, smarter construction and mining.
